Not a good combination?

If you take a good look, what do you see? *)  

What you don't see in this picture, is that Sandra used W&N masking fluid, and salt, and left it behind in the sun.. Two weeks later the masking couldn't be removed! It was extremely sticky. After rubbing, sanding and trying to cut it off, we realised the watercolour couldn't be saved and eventually used white spirit - which more or less worked, but left a dark fatty spot... (below right).

That's why I post this: to be on the safe side, don't combine masking fluid with salt, don't let the masking fluid stay on for two weeks and don't leave it in the sun...
