Colourful abstract landscapes in Aquarelle Watercolours

The abstract landscapes were an inspiring subject, although we agreed that it is impossible to create a landscape that is really abstract: they will always stay immediately recognisable. Have a look for yourself:

This is the landscape Hélène chose. Stunning!

Glen painted 2 landscapes, first the one below, which took 2 hourse and then the one up here, meant as a basis for a zen tangle. But maybe she should keep it like this, it is cool!

Judith has an amazing production - she will become our 'wet in wet' specialist. Above an abstract 'see through'  - you interpret what it is! But from time to time she goes back to the comfortable preciseness and that looks good too...
Another idea of Judith - building up an abstract landscape as a mosaic:

A wonderful abstract view on the japanese green-tea felds by Michele C.

From the top of her head, a landscape abstract with amazing reflection by Michele F

Liz didn't care much for her abstract inspired by lavender fields, but she may change her mind in hindsight! I think it looks great - as does the strong cloudy sunset in her painting below

And how gorgeous is this misty fantasy landscape by Ilse! She applied the 'dabbing' technique also often used by Carol to get this beautiful subdued effect

Isabelle A did not like the result as much as I did - she wants to be more 'free' and I can understand what she means, so we'll go for it, but to be honest I also really like what she did here!!
Marie-Françoise only needs to soften the hard lines a bit here and there and then she has created a totally connected abstract landscape - that makes me think of a sunset over the sea...
And another fabulous green tea field - but it could be anything, that folds and turns slowly and velvety... Very beautiful! By Jutta.

We also continued our work on the masks, for the exhibition:

Sylvie D. created this mask - that could be from a scene out of Lord of the Rings! (The Ents)

This cute little owl comes from Michelle F.! It is so fragile and has wonderful depth!!

Liz proves that she can also be very subtle with this mask, painted from stillife by the way, brovo!

Judith finished her mask - another take on the subject and again very original, it will look superb in our exhibition

The masks-composition by Jutta, has come out even better than I expected, really super!!
And then of course the wonderful work on several other subjects and projects:
Celina's awesome abstract with zen-tangle influences but first and foremost - colour!

Catherine's bottle and brush - so good, our expo-audience will have difficulty finding the photo!!
In the picture below she's almost finshed...

Two little donkeys, painted by Maud, using aquarelle pencil... Looking forward to seeing it finished!
