Pumpkins & other Halloweeny subjects

Carol painted these amazing velvet pumpkins. She is so good with textures and that velvet softness is perfect.

It was (almost) Halloween last week and we always use that as inspiration in one way or another... This time most of us went for the pumpkins, very special ones! We were with a small group (holidays) but worked extra hard to have enough to fill a blog 😀👹👺

This very Halloween painting is created by Jutta. It is so deep in different ways. There is a mysterious , warm light, not coming from the moon, but from a far away open door in the forest. Wonderful!

Three little pumpkins by Judith. A lovely composition, with beautiful colours (in real life they are brighter than on this photo)

A big shiny pumpkin by Jutta. It has a lot of character and the background and shadows are perfect, it makes the subject stand out more

Michele C.started a velvet pumpkin as well, it is not yet finished but already quite spectacular, in colour, shape and those soft folds! Furthermore she finished the fountain (below) The statue looks so good! And the water is very well done!

Jutta finished her fountain. It has an amazing light and the water has worked out perfectly!

Sandra is experimenting with rough, absorbing  types of paper. It behaves differently and apart from painting, she has been scratching and writing on it. Good stuff is happening - to be continued...

Jutta started with autumn leaves, they look so beautiful and subtle!

Version 2 of the 'Lady with a Shawl' By Judith.  Look at that light -  the combi yellow and white (of the pape)r make it really strong
