Hourglasses in Watercolours, 2nd time - and more

Randi had never touched watercolours before - but her spheres show that she has the talent!

On Thursday 9 February we had our first watercolour session. Not many Aquarellistas had returned from their travels, but we had guests and that made a perfect, stimulating atmosphere...

Hanneke has used watercolours before, but very long ago. She built a little still life with a vase and tangerines and created two versions, that are both proving that she should take up painting again!!

The actual 'theme du jour' was 'Hourglass':
Sue created this wonderful hourglass. She did it pretty fast and achieved that spontaneous look that makes a watercolour so special. Well done! And she had time left for a tryout of next weeks' theme!

Michele brought her own version of an hourglass, it is so sool and scandinavian. And very well-painted! Note the tiny stripe of sand. You cann almost see it move. Great stuff! The threesome below are also by Michele, just for fun...

And last but by no means least, Catherine started an orchid - I already liked it when she was painting it but now that I see the photo I love it! Those colours! Can't wait to see it finished...
