The last watercolours of 2019

Wishing you an amazing, inspired new year, with lots of progress and artistic development

Jutta's awesome hourglass, in monochrome. Perfect in style and light fall.

Many Aquarellistas were already celebrating holidays when the last session took place, but those who stayed worked so well! We let ourselves be inspired by the end of the year, with hourglasses and winter landscapes. And of course then there were some 'miscellaneous works'.
I left for 2020 with a proud feeling! You understand why when you see the images:
Carol's hourglass has started fabulous, note that the irregularly shaped still-white part will be a delicately ornamented foot...

Fabulous monochrome 'Sablier' by Marie-Josée. Partly painted wet-in-wet, very brave!

Lovely hourglass by Glenn, brave, strong colours and that glass will be even more transparent in the next version when the background shines through!

Marie-Josée's stunning winter landscape. So full of atmosphere - you know there's a deer there somewhere...

Celina created a wonderful winter-inspired watercolour of a warm winter hat and matching shawl, in mosaic style...
Jutta is one step further and sees the snowdrops coming out of the snow in this beautiful watercolour!

Judith is experimenting with a lot of different ways to use wet-in-wet painting. The above one, which in my opinion is a new take on Monet's water lilies, was painted very wet (leaving the typical borders) and the colourful one below, now finished, much more soft - but equally 'deep'.
