We had such a good time during the last sessions! Only WIP's in the photo's, the main subject will take 2 weeks: 'Stick a piece of a magazine-photo on the watercolour paper and then create a whole new picture around it'. To make this convincing requires that the painter gets all the colours right so that one doesn't see where the photo ends and the painting begins, and then uses their fantasy to finish the whole picture! A fantastic challenge, that the Tuesday Aquarellistas were happy to take. We all discovered that you have to just start and the imagination and creativity begins to flow and the ideas come while you are painting.

What an impressive start by Charlie. Even if she would stop here it would be an interesting (slightly spooky) image - but we'll see next time what this is going to end up like. Can't wait!

Starting with just some lines in the correct colour, Sandra suddenly discovered a cat and worked that out. It is very convincing already - I am curious what it will end up being, knowing Sandra it could still change completely 😃.

Denise experimented first with a interesting magazine clipping of a complicated, architectural structure (see below) and then took a more classic one to finish. Knowing her it will be fabulous. At this point it is already interesting that the horizontal lines are used for a different view. More next time...

Denise used one of the clippings as inspiration, they are W'sIP and will probably end up quite abstract!

This subject is so appealing, I couldn't resist it. Did not give much attention to the others, luckily they were better off without me. Pure fun! To be continued...

Laura had to set up a gift-painting for a friend, of an Island and reflection. It is WIP, but doesn't need much work anymore, just make those white (masking fluid) pillars into reflection. well done!

Here's a typical painting by Ingrid, member of the Thursday group. They will begin the magazine cutting paintng next week...

Also Sue, who is painting this English house with Wisteria. Drawing took a lot of time, yet at the end of the session she started with the (loosely painted) roof. More next week!

Brenda continued with "why do you think I ate the chocolate?' and it is getting funnier as well as better every time.
