Foggy mirrors and steamy windows in Watercolours

Anna Karin started her foggy window with the 'wipe', the foggy part will come - it will make it even better, but is works already as it is now. Cool stuff!

The Aquarellista session of last week with 'Steamy Windows' as theme, produced very interesting work! Many very different interpretations - and variations.

Vanessa took a foggy window with raindrops as inspiration for this awesome painting. To be finished in the coming session!

An elegant finger with beautiful dark blue nail polish, drawing a heart on a steamy window, painted by Randi, using her new masking fluid (Talens, black). FYI - it worked fine!

Sue also painted a foggy window with raindrops, very precise - it is interesting to see that she wants to challenge herself working finer, where others who work fine want to 'work more like Sue'
😊

Celina painted a frozen foggy window, with a cleaned and sharp circle, that shows a bright winter landscape. Well done!

Brenda did several versions of windows with rain and was somehow not happy with them. I do hope she will be able to finish this one next Tuesday, I find it very interesting!

In the meantime...

Judith is SO on a roll with her big-brush-crazy-clours portratis, she is a true Fauvist. We are all in awe.

This is a new portrait that Judith created at home, but (because she won't be there for 2 Tuesdays) I didn't want you to miss it. What a wonderful witch!

Sandra was inspired by Judith and created this wild man with sad eyes.  Already impressive, and we're  looking forward to seeing the next stage. Below a land- or seascape with so many interesting elements! It has turned out great. I truly love it

Randi has started a new painting, using her new Talens masking fluid. It is in the early stages but I post it anyway to show you the masking in black. We'll see if it comes off well after a week!

We have two starters! Both did the 'spheres' exercise. Above Martine's, great fun for me to see how she got better and better from top left to bottom right 😀. Below the beginnings of her 'washing + volume' exercise...

The other starter is Katy - fun to see the already different styles of the two. She has definitely understood the principle, yet also with her work you see improvement from first (yellow) to last (red). Below her preparation for the washing+volume exercise! Results next week...

Sylvie is the only person up to now who is creating a painting of an actual meal for the cookbook. Also because it is very difficult. But hers is fabulou!

Anna Karin works on two illustrations for the cookbook - two different stages in the lifecycle of chickpeas, the pods and the beans

Carol's watercolour for the cookbook - onions and garlic. Ingredients for most of the savoury dishes!
