Jutta used our unsurpassed blue tape, to cover the tree in the foreground and then spontaneously paint the background. That background is SO awesome!! We can't wait to see this picture completed Go Jutta!
Sylvie took one of her own fabulous nature-pictures as inspiration, with moss and soft red leaves with beautiful delicate veins...
Michele's expression of the velvety moss is stunning. It is soft and has a modest but defining shine, and an excellent green
Randi took a different kind of moss, and achieved a very poetic painting on Tuesday. She came back on Thursday for another - and certainly last- try (her words) đ
Françoise painted this gorgeous, light, moss-overgrown branch, with subtle red tones for contrast. Well done!
This is Marie-Jo's impression. It was amazing in real life - but she wasn't too happy with the background. Now on the photo I see that it is perfect: rain!
Sonya took the same example and left out the background. Great to see two different versions - both excellent!!
Here's Monica's branch with moss. It is so well-painted, you can see what type of moss it is.
And she finished the sunlight-poppies, adding a far-away coast and a lake...

Outside the moss-theme , there were other amazing paintings created, which you can see below:
Judith experimented further, and this one out of three is especially beautiful. Wet-in-wet, using light colours for the background and dark paint for the details. With amazing effect! Click on the picture to see it larger.
Here's another negative-space painting by Celina. She is inspiring others with this technique, but she definitely remains the queen
Michele finished her beautiful Cinqueterre painting at home. She un-complicated the view, yet kept the unmistakable atmosphere
The portrait, this version painted by Jutta. There is so much wisdom in her face. Beautiful.
The letters, painted as a tryout of really bright watercolours with feltpan, painted in the last couple of minutes by Françoise
We had two starters, both worked on the 'spheres' exercise. Both nailed the exercise, in their own style.
Roger painted two versions. I really like his transparent marbles (top one)

And the other first-timer is Isabelle. She created an awesome light and bubbly painting! I look forward to see more...
