Letters in Watercolours

The name of Helene's granddaughter. In great colors, graffitti-style. painted on Crowded Tuesday

Our subject of last Tuesday and Thursday was simple. Write, draw and colour, use words or just letters, patterns and fonts. Below all the surprising and amazingly different results...

A delicate mosaic, the negative spaces form the word 'Cecilie'. Created on Calm Thursday by Celina. She is considering filling the white letters with doodles in ink. What do you think?

Fantastic flower letters by Glen. Would be amazing as wallpaper!

Not yet completely finished, the sign for Sonya's daughter, but already awesome with its rainbows, hearts and stars!

Randi's 'Cake My Day' logo, To be extended and developed, but a great idea! And below: the masking fluid flower field - She nailed it

Many continued with the masking fluid. The effect is always surprising and strangely satisfying!

Vanessa's subtle and poetic image of a big and a small person and a tree

This strong and sunny painting of a field of poppies was painted by Monica. using a lot of masking - and it worked!!

Anna-Karin worked with masking fluid, very much in line with her own special style. Above very fine dots on the dill or fennel flowers, and below simple white flowers - but you can keep looking at them, there is so much to see...

Michèle created her spontaneous background on top of the masking, then colored the left-over white and made it perfect with the little yellow hearts

Sonya was very much inspired by Celina's work of last week. And created a mysterious, strong and enticing  watercolour using the 'negative space'

This watercolour has Liz' signature all over it. She has painted Antibes by night before but it never looked as good as this time! Slightly more stylized, and more interesting perspective with that big boat in the foreground

And then there were the 'other subjects'. Always an interesting corner - with the free-thinkers doing their own thing and inspiring the others 😊

This misty and atmospheric cityscape was painted by Marie-Jo. I love all of it, and am extra pleased with the silhouette with umbrella + reflection.

Judith went on experimenting with wet-in-wet. Here the empty spaces add to the overall composition. And so does the white border!
Vanessa (above) and Jutta (below) both decided to go for the 'Lady with colourful shawl'. Both paintings are in progress - and both look great already (yellow is masking and will be white in a later stage) Can't wait to see them in a further stage!
