Pumpkins in Aquarelle

Last week's aquarellista subject was (on request) Pumpkins. Because of the approaching Halloween-festivities, but also because of the yummy recipes! We worked with gusto on them - and on a lot of other subjects, and on unfinished projects. Still super busy with our Cookbook, so I'll go easy on the comments!

Jutta - working on ingredients for a tasty and wonderful soup!

Randi - still or a roll, production- and 'loose-style'- wise!!

Brenda with a beautiful contrasting carving.  Almost finished - and reminiscent of her Frida Kahlo-necklace with thorns... Everything is connected.

These super smooth and gorgeous pumpkins are painted by Celina. She used the technique of re-wetting and then re-painting to get these smooth colours and it works really well as you can see (although she didn't love it)

Marie skipped her 3d day-exercises to participate in this exercise and look what happened!! Fantastic

A very interestingly carved 'citrouille' by Michele! This really brings us in the Halloween-mood

Sonya and Marina did a pumpkin-swap which led to this. We're both proud of how 'Halloweeny' this looks.

Sandra just started a pumpkin inspired composition

Hélène has painted a tangerine peel - fantastic! great idea for a future subject

Marie's daughters Juliette, 4 years old (below) and Amelie , 6 years old, (aboveà have participated in the 'Spheres' exercise. They clearly have their mothers' talent and I am seriously impressed by their originality, use of colours and Loose Style!!

Jutta finished her 'squares' painting, creating the serene pre-autumn atmosphere that we're having right now!

Cathie, painting the last (one-hair-)brush strokes on het beautiful birds' nest...

Judith is experimenting with portraits, combining features in crayon with her signature bold-style colours - resulting in interesting effect!  Below the next drawing - can't wait to see what it will end up like...
