(The combination of) Art & Food - in watercolours

'Madame Brocoli' a very classy lady, painted by Michele. Original as always - and very very funny!!

For last week's challeng 'Art&Food' I received such wonderful and humorous cartoons that combined a painting of a vegetable or fruit with a cartoon! I am very proud of you - and you can be proud of yourselves!   Have a look at what was achieved - with of course other wonderful projects as well under 'in the meantime'

Ingrid's lemon girl on a bike, painted in Switzerland with text "When life gives you lemons... Put on your red pants and blue suede shoes and get on your bike" Hilarious, wise, true, and... how well are those lemons painted!!! Superb!

And this one comes from quarantine in the UK! Great minds think alike... Sue painted a girl on a bike, because of the shape of the lime slices she calls it a‘bone shaker’bike !! Not a smooth ride ! But great work and more follows under 'in the mean time'...

Rosemarie used a fennel bulb to create a girl seen from the back. And is it a coincidence or does she also have banana arms? Love to see al that originality!

In the meantime

Michele's absolutely fabulous 'Colourful Bark'  unfortunately got lost in the mail last week. So here it is, better late than never and not less stunning!!

Sue is in quarantine in the UK and has plenty of time to paint with us. That's good, because our next challenge may take some time, depending on how precise you paint it...
Every time I see a bark painting it makes me happy, do you have that too? And I wonder what the man with the turban is looking at. Could be a landscape from an airplane window...

O my, Sandra's Moroccan girl with turban is so kind, so sensitive! a very comforting portrait. Well painted and so much poetic expression! well done S!

This beautiful and etheric painting is created by Judith, using negative painting. She calls it Encounter because so much is because so much converges at the light. The painting below is called 'Searching' and we can interpret that in any way we like - it is certainly interesting, love the tension between triangle and 'needle' and -newsflash- she sold it already!
