Pouring Watercolours on paper - and see what happens!

Celina reports: "I started out by putting on masking - by using the back of a brush and dashing it about. Then made some liquid paint using sepia, quinacridone red and orange. Before the second pour, I mixed in more paint and dashed around some more masking fluid. The sepia disappeared and just made a murky orange-brown. For the third pour - more masking fluid and I was a bit less generous with the water spray. I also changed sepia for Prussian blue. When all was dry I used a stencil to pull out some pigment (hence the sun in the upper left corner) and added some black and white lines with a fineliner." Celina did the Part II already - and it is awesome!!! I love it. Thanks a lot also for the description.
Her last comment: "It was VERY messy and a lot of fun".

Ina also found it "super fun to do" and created this - already worthwhile- pour. At this moment it looks like a reflection in water yet that can completely change in part II!

Ingrid also found it an interesting experience - and very messy... the colours of her work were the only ones she had in tubes and even though she used up much more green, pink dominated! "la vie en rose"
I look forward to seeing it back,, maybe completely changed, after lifting and adding...

In the meantime...

Judith painted this cool composition in the way she works and experiments at the moment. With as most important features, the Light and the Transparency. Wonderful!

Michèle was not attracted to the pouring project  so she painted this fantastic Art Déco portrait with amazing eyes, inspired by Tamara de Lempicka
