Ingrid worked on the impossible task to paint a kitten who is sorry for what it has done. Kittens are never sorry - but they are cute and fluffy, so they are forgiven anyway. And that is very much expressed in this endearing watercolour.
Last week the Aquarellistas got together (live, as well as from a distance) and painted a couple of impressive watercolours of a variety of subjects. Animals, people, plants and abstracts - have a look for yourself and enjoy!!
Monica picked the same challenge and concentrated on the soft fur. Her kitten is in progress - and won't be finished before next year as she will be in the UK until Easter'22. We are looking forward to seeing her back - and we know she follows what we are doing from her home country...
Sonya works long-distance with us - and how! She painted this magnificent Indian horse for the English teacher of her daughter Amelia (who taught them about native culture this year) and the ladybug below is exceptionally painted on Arches satin. Different (smooth) effect!
Jutta took the opportunity to work on her beloved subject, 'Birds'. She finished the rooster - and painted an awesome, beautiful, colourful Parrot with lots of contrast and spontaneous splashes!! Well done.
This amazing 'Tour de France' moment, in the blistering heat, was painted by Sue. We are so impressed with how she managed to get an atmosphere of the struggle and hard work in the sun. Beautiful and impressive
Brenda started with a painting of one of her super cute granddaughters, in an oversized mermaid-dress! So very nice - and it will be finished next week, probably with pen, true to her style. Below a doodle also by her. Very interesting, full of wonder and dancing shapes.
Celina finished a 'pour' with paint and ink that was already quite advanced, but we saw it change when she worked on it with white. She also started a new pour - just in the starting phase but I need to show you the rewarding visual effect of the dried wet paint.
Also in the making - a negative space painting by Celina. You can look forward to the next step in the coming post.
While the kitten-painting dried, Ingrid worked on this lake with Yucca flowers. Such a happy, fresh view, feel-good all over!
Michele works with us from Bretagne - and because she missed the filigrane bottles, she took the opportunity now - and she loved 'ce beau flacon'. I can see that, can you? Also appreciate the old-looking plaster behind it.
