Interpretations of famous Posters in Watercolours Part 1

The Aquarellistas got together last week with Cathie as host and sounding board. There were new aquarellistas, and Anna-Karin is back! By the look of it, it was a wonderful session, here are the pictures and the comments:

Anna Karin as usual doing beautiful interpretation of autumn leaves.

Genevieve brought her finished gladioli & worked super hard to create this beautiful work today. Using masking fluid for the background & the writing. She achieved a lot in 2.5 hours. Bravo!

Glen finished off her gladioli with a purple background. Then started on her interpretation of a part of the example poster.

Jutta also did her own interpretation of the image below. She plans to make a blackboard & use white pen to write on it.

Martine spent a lot of time carefully drawing this, so didn’t get a lot of time to actually paint, but she did a lovely job drawing and painting the background & has set herself up with masking fluid to make a great painting.

In Bretagne, Michele chose the same example to work on and it will be such fun to see the two different interpretations next week!

Judith added a veil to her painting and it has changed the dynamics completely. How interesting!
