The Aquarellistas spent another session on the beautiful principle of Kintsugi. Tuesday 2 wonderful paintings were produced, the Thursday group had to cancel the session due to sickness, work, travels and a broken down car. Their results will come in later! Because there is not much text I have translated some of the comments in French 😁
Geneviève est en tête du blog de cette semaine, son Kintsugi a été peint
en toute confiance avec quelques coups de pinceau, et il est
littéralement parfait. Voir l'image de l'original et de la peinture -
laquelle est laquelle ?
Geneviève tops this week's blog, her Kintsugi was painted very loosely with a couple of brush strokes, and it is literally simply perect. See picture of original and painting - which is which?

Et un autre bol fabuleux, minutieusement peint par Martine. Elle a commencé la semaine dernière et l'a terminé avec style, fantastique !
And another fabulous bowl, painstakingly painted by Martine. She started last week and finished it in style, fantastic!

In the meantime...
Jutta was inspired by the favourite subject of Sylvie, the mysterious, veiled Eastern women. She finished this magnificent one last Tuesday. The beauty and intelligence as well as the peacefulness of this flute player makes it a very good painting.
Sylvie finished the above painting (and started a new one that I don't have a picture of). She used real leaf gold in between the Thai handwriting...
While all of the above was happening, Janine calmly worked on her 'washing' exercise. She painted the compartments in different colours, then washed the whole thing with a nature sponge and is now giving some of them 'volume'. It looks so abstract, and so Great! The composition is interesting (from all angles), and I love the brown and the green shapes 'almost touching'. To be continued!!
Judith ran into some old work of her mum, Rosemarie. Great to see her style and ability again, but now in figurative work! Keep 'em coming, great to see
Anna Karin is in Spain, painting there with her daughter Maria. They are working hard:
I think I know which ones are hers - do you? We'll check next time she is there 😀
