People & Pets in watercolours ( and more)

In the latest Aquarellista project the idea was to paint people and  pets who look like each other. Everything was allowed and not everybody felt like it, but those who participated did a fantastic job! Have a look:

Jutta started with her painting of a man and a dog who are very much alike - and she painted it in a mosaic style. Not finished but it already looks very good and interesting. Beautifully painted!

Michèle painted with us from Bretagne, and did she do an awesome job here - the expression, the baldness, the eyes! I absolutely love it

I gave it a try too, initially just to demo but it got away with me. So much fun!

Two unfinished projects: Geneviève started her Pet-Person lookalike which I'm sure is going to be very good - and monochrome...

...while Roxane will go for an über-lovely girl cuddling her ginger retriever. they look like each other in colours - but also in sweet loveliness. To be continued!

And in the meantime:

Celina started a tiger that looks very graphical. It will be spectacular when it is in the next stage, the right eye is a good indication! And remember the one below? I thought earlier it was finished, but she has now inserted little footsteps! How mysterious and cute at the same time!

Judith is working with Sepia, Burnt Sienna, Ochre and  Payne's grey, a brush, as straw and a hairdryer to create these brilliant abstract landscapes. In the near future she will teach us all how to do this!!
Absolutely awesome

Randi is with her family in Australia! Looking at the atmosphere in this painting, she must be so happy over there! We hope to see more like this, how warm in atmosphere!

Rosemarie's landscape is also based on an existing place, with warm memories. She finds it hasn't come out very 'aquarelly' so she will redo it one day. I am happy with it: it has such a good mood!

This fabulous Keith - Monkey tree actually looks quite 'aquarelly' - yet is executed in pastel. By Geneviève. I'd like to see the watercolour version of this as well!!

And here's the latest work by Judith. just to show once more what you can achieve with a straw, a hairdryer and some good wet watercolour paint...
