It is 2022 - the year of the Tiger. A year of prosperity, luck and good energy. Sounds like a great reason to use as a subject and show it to you as seen through the eyes of the Aquarellistas! Check out below what we made of it and there will be more next week as so many of us are skiing, poor things 😛
Judith was there though and she created a wild animal impression with the colours of the tiger.
Geneviève has painted a true tiger with true tiger-expression. She used a photo as inspiration but really gave it her own swing, great work!!
Jutta let herself go with very wet paint and no other objective than having fun, and she did - and so did we! He is so cross-eyed, crest fallen and lovely, fantastic result and please give us more of these
Janine painted 3 fan-tas-tic tigers for her 3 kids. They are so simple and so spot-on!! good stuff, will look so good on their walls!
Shirley's gorgeous tiger (is holding a gun) - She learnt about creating 'fur' and did a good job there!
And last but not least, Michèle's adorable baby tiger. It makes me really happy, what a cutie
In the meantime...
Jutta finished her perfect lime peel with a beautiful violet/turquoise background that reinforces the fruity green. Great stuff!
Glen is almost finished with the orange peel above - it needs just a small bit of drop shadow. Note that she did this from the top of her head. The amazing, fantastic, juicy one below is the new one. Love it!!
Jutta's 'Hommage à Marlene' is now finished and what a great use of Haring's style - completely in Jutta's own way. Big compliment, well done!
This very touching Keith Haring impression was created by Roxanne. She told the story and it was beautiful. If you weren't there, I am sure you will be able to make an interpretation for yourself. Love and friendship are the keywords.
This one in Keith Haring style started as an example for using masking fluid. It became very personal and was inspired by my sisters' beautiful speech about the 70 years of love between my parents.
And what would an Aquarellista blogpost be without Judith's experiments?! Here's another really gorgeous one, the flying drips are created with the hairdryer 😋
I am delighted that Cari hasn't forgotten about us - and is still painting with watercolours!! She sends us these delicate botanical paintings + 1 dragon fly, with greetings to all! We hope to see her back one day Cari!
