Last Tuesday the Aquarellistas had the symbolic, simple and cartoon-like work of Keith Haring as their guideline. To be inspired by, be it in style or subject or colours. It was surprisingly inspiring for everyone, and here are the results:
Celina worked on her winter landscape (see below) and had a couple of minutes left in which she painted this breathtaking -mandala? Inspired by Keith Haring but also very much by Celina...
Anna Karin let her big pointy brush do the work and as soon as she picked up the Mars Black the shapes came out into quite a classic work. It looks almost finished - but so much can still happen...
Judith referred to 'motherhood' in her 'Keith' - with its dark and light sides. She took a brave break from her habitual transparent style and it looks like she had fun playing that way!
Jutta brings a tribute to her friend (and her red coat) with this Haring-inspired and funny symbolic painting! We are eagerly awaiting the dark lines...
Work in progress by Roxane - wait until she has added some clear black lines. It must be friendship we're seeing here!
Our beloved Michèle from Bretagne still works with us and let us know she had a wonderful time painting this! I dare say we can see that, it is a cheerful and witty watercolour, well done!
In the meantime
Celina also almost-finished her graphic winterlandscape. Ompressive!
Sue painted Marie's house in Sweden. It is absolutely fabulous - and cold.
And below, also by Sue, an almost abstract winter lanscape. How mysterious is this one!!

Sonya is in the process of creating true winter-beauty, inspired by another picture by Marie!! Love her choice of colours, mainly Sepia and Paine's Grey
Geneviève worked on her 'Zen' before starting with her own Keith-inspired watercolour. Maybe more next week. Or maybe not. Anyway, these stones are awesome!!
Last in: Rosemarie from Holland treated us to Amaryllis bulbs. They are lovely, have volume and shadow. I am secretly hoping for a series where we see them come into flower!
