On the Aquarellista-session of 1 March, we embarked on a project of painting a full moon in the sky, with trees in front of it. Judith was our guide in how to achieve that using a lot of paint, a straw and a hairdryer. We had a fantastic time, played around just for the fun of it - and the results are fantastic too!! With a big thank you to Judith - have a look at what you can achieve...
Judith is the creator of these two brilliant paintings - both have a mysterious soft fog and the hand of the master is clearly visible, they are so much more refined
Roxane painted a 'classic version first, with a moon and sky first, then with lots of wet dark paint and a straw to create the branches. The mysterious, abstract and powerful image below is also cleverly created by her - I love the experimenting that goes on!
Shirley painted another weirdly attractive piece. She loved this very much and 'gave it all' and it worked out! I love it. (Roald Dahl meets JK Rowling)
Michèle works with us from Bretagne and has painted this breathtaking image... Everything about it is beautiful, the colours, the light, the story behind it. I love it!!!
Thecla had her first session with us - and she totally belongs, it is as if she's always been an aquarellista! She has an artistic background and that shows in her watercolours...
The least successful one was painted by yours truly - the paint was a bit too thick to create fine lines with a straw, it is messy but still has 'something'
Work in progress:
Jutta finished her shells and then started this moon -we will show the finished painting next weeks, it is going to be impressive, I promise you!
Anna-Karin started with this spectacular moon through the trees. It has an undeniable deep story, and everything is still open but I have high expectations!!
In the meantime
Jutta finished her 'spirals' in this case in snail shells, the mother-of-pearl variety.
They have come out strong and playful!
Roxane finished her ginger dog-girl couple, they are very well-painted and so so cute!
Randi is till in Australia - but that doesn't mean that she isn't painting!!
Delightful and colourful, these 'Ozzie' watercolours
