Geneviève has finished her work on the elements, she is finetuning at home. So she was happy to do a bit of leisurely painting on the great subject of spring flowers! She came up with these absolutely lovely delicate blossoms - A lot of work yet she almost finished, only a slight green on the stems left to do for next week...
Celina worked on a couple of experiments and these two are reminiscent of Spring time and what I specifically love about them is the clever and fun way they are created: two blobs of paint with white or background in between and after they dried, connect them with dark lines - and there you have trees! Instant effect!
"Les roses blanches" beautiful delicate blossoms, painted by the lovely Michele - in Bretagne. With greetings to all of us!
And the rest of the time was spent on elements, one week to go until deadline for the contest! Exciting stuff... Here are some new and some finished works:
Absolutely amazing and beautiful surrealistic artwork by Jutta. The 5 elements (metal in the heart) combined. I keep looking at it and discovering new things. Almost finished!
Also magnificent painting by Roxane. Above an unfinished Iranian landscape and below a French Eagle (possibly an Osprey) from a picture taken during a walk in the local mountains...
In Elementary view: Earth and Air
Celina has just doodled this for fun! There is so much to see in this painting - from the general mosaic impression, to the cells, the colour of water and the overall impression of airiness!
Thecla is not yet done experimenting with the elements. This intelligent way of combining makes the symbols really speak for itself.
Janine closes the series of elements, with the now finished fire balloons. I absolutely love it!!
And finally, in 'other news', For those who weren't there, Roxane and Monica discovered that they both speak fluent Iranian and with the same regional accent. It was a fantastic and touching experience to hear them communicate in such a supple and beautiful language.
