In the second 'Elements' session, the Aquarellistas concentrated on 'WATER' as a theme. Again the results were amazing - and in an impressive variation. Not everything is in here as some want to keep their brilliant ideas for themselves, yet several candidates here too for the Art Contest if you ask me. Have a look for yourself!
Roxane started an abstracted painting of a small stream in a beautiful fresh meadowy landscape
Shirley went crazy with the straws and came up with this amazing abstract that looks very 'Earthy' to me
Sue went deep with her diver. Apart from being strikingly beautiful, it also represents a lot of emotions. I absolutely adore it!
Sonya's glass fish is so transparent and also seems quicksilvery fast! It is not yet quite finished - just the little air bubbles to complete a perfect water-painting!!
Sonya
Sweet loyal Michèle has done her part in cold Bretagne, with a simple but striking composition of small waterbottles. All different, delicate and somehow surprising.
Work in progress by Geneviève. She has started a study on how to combine the elements! This is a preview, with a volcano (earth, air and fire) seen through a window with raindrops (water) on it
Thecla's firefly, as representation of the element fire is so light and lovely, and look at that background!
With the same inspiration, Shirley did her version of the firefly, it has an equally stunning background. that needs to be a little bit darker to bring out the light of the firefly out.
Nothing that a bit of Payne's Grey can't fix!
This Fantastic Fireman is the finished version of last week's Fire painting by Geneviève. So well done!!

In the meantime 'other subjects' got some attention too
Thecla for instance also worked on this fantastic abstract that is so transparent! I am so happy with this - it has everything I love and is full of creativity and conscious choices.
Sonya finished her snow and light-landscape. It is loosely based on a photo from Sweden, made by Marie, and has links to many things, yet bottomline: yay! it s stunning!!!
Next week: EARTH
