Planets in watercolours - and more selfies and flowers

On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Aquarellistas get together to paint with watercolours! There is a suggestion for a subject with examples and explanation - but the goal is to paint creatively together, subject free. The best and most interesting things happen during these sessions. And I post a blog almost every week, with the results of the last sessions. Don't hesitate to leave a comment and you are welcome to give it a try too, with your groups or for yourself. A collection of colourful fantasy planets by Judith; above the stage where she just put the salt. Interesting...Below, the next stage, where the salt was wiped off and some colour added. I think that gives more depth and stillness, but not everyone agrees, what do you think?

Not only a lot humour but also very interesting - and  very well-painted

Anne created this lovely painting of Lathyrus or sweet peas or 'pois de senteur'... She's got the colours spot on if I compare them with the ones in my garden 😍 and after all that she still had time to doodle a bright night sky:

Sonya is creating paintings for her daughters' teachers! This one is for Mrs Wren! It is extra brightly coloured because she paints it on a canvas with Gesso. A pretty difficult technique...

Rosemarie visited us after more than a year and she worked on two Zentangles with painted backgrounds.
