Water pipes - a great subject for watercolours

Yess, we have survived the holidays and we are back with a vengeance! Last weeks( sessions were dedicated to 'Water pipes" and although initially the enthusiasm was not too great, in the end everyone was so happy with what they did. The challenge (and the beauty) of this subject is, the symmetry, and all the different textures, metal, fabric, wood, glass... Look at the fabulous paintings below, I am very proud that my Aquarellistas can do this! In one afternoon mind you! There are only the names of the artists, as explanations are not really necessary I think, these great images speak for themselves...

Martine

Almost no one has been painting during 'les vacances' - it was just too hot, the paint dried as soon as it touched the paper. But Martine was in Cool Auvergne and she painted! She created a big oil - and this is the same picture; in watercolours...:

Lovely holiday painting by Martine

WIP by Sue, this is going to be a fabulous corner with amazing light, mark my words!
