Weekly Aquarellista Challenge 5: Spring Flowers

This lemon blossom is painted, in watercolours, by Carol. It looks so classic, more like an oil painting. The light is -as pretty much always with Carol's paintings- amazing, mysterious and strong. Great stuff

Last week's video challenge was 'Spring Flowers'. A lot of Aquarellistas worked on it and sent me their wonderful results! I am grateful and  proud (again). Here they are for you to enjoy!
Celina's spring flowers, two wonderful and very different examples, camille and tulips. I love both backgrounds by the way: the green one that goes from dark to light and makes the image even sunnier - and the blue behind the tulips is just to strong. A true eye catcher!

Sue did a super job on a bright sun on the daisies and leaving out the white. Absolutely love that sun, it is so clearly expressing a warm spring morning!

Cari  also works with us and did a more botanical type of spring flower painting. Very delicate and with lots of detail! The one below looks to me like a Magnolia, but what are the others?

Another lovely, lush spring flower by Cari

These wonderful, lush magnolias already flowered on 14 February. And luckily Anna Karin painted them for all of us to admire. Awesome

Irises by Michele, Well done and I adore the dark shadow & familiar shutter-handle, both immediately giving a very french atmosphere. The lavender is amazing with a lot of light around every flower - and I am looking forward to the next version where the background is slightly darker to make them stand out even more...

Talking about style... here is Vanessa's Spring Flowers painting.  I really like the long vase with the anemones - and the background. Please go on like this, you are on to something!

Jutta painted these flowers (Christmas Rose (Helleborus)?) some time ago when there was not much sun yet - but they are absolutely wonderful in verey respect.

In the mean time...

Anna Karin did some more work on 'eggs' and came up with this wonderfully delicate composition
Celina had sent these in, well in time last week - and I forgot to save them and didn't put them in the blog My Bad - but you don't have to miss them, here they are. In a nest - and on a gorgeous wavy silk background!

Leonie also still works with us - and she created this extended still life around her painting with cute Bunny and eggs...

These fantastic and funny sheep from the West of Ireland are painted by Fionuala (pronounces as Fenoolah), one of the people of my class in Les Adrets (LA) She just took up watercolours  as you can see she already made significant progress, no thanks to me!! It's one of the good things about confinement...
