Weekly Aquarellista Challenge 10: Facial Masks

Anna Karin's amazing design for a facial mask! It will be produced soon.

Last week's challenge was 'design your own facial mask' and only Anna Karin and myself took it. That said, all the artworks below could be beautiful masks!
We had our first, careful watercolour session last Thursday, and it was so great to see each other again, you don't notice how much you miss that kind of inspiring contact with like-minded creative people until you actually have it again!!

The four of us were outside, respecting a distance of 1,5 meters - but close enough

Sue used our time together to create this painting of' 'Place St George' in Toulouse after a picture that Thelma gave her before the corona crisis. She did such a fabulous job, very loose and spontaneous style, and a true record of how colourful and buzzing it is over there!

this group of serious-looking poppy pods were painted by Cathie, using the interesting technique of scratching a watercolor pencil along a piece of sandpaper, releasing the pigment. I think we first saw it when we studied the work of Shirly Trevana - and I may create a demo (video) about this, because it interested everyone!

Judith was so happy to be back - and she used the shadows of the trees to get a bit further with her wet-in-wet and sensitive style. And aren't these two absolutely wonderful ( I chose these from her usual broad selection😆)

Cari may have a garden like mine: full of snails... She painted a trio (these are not stages of the same painting). I must say, very well done! so delicate! looking forward to see more soon.

Celina has painted this portrait of a very young elephant. What a sweetie! He is still a bit shaky and luckily there is a big one nearby to help him stay upright. Very good story in this watercolour.
