Liz painted her own watch - very refined and good job. Funny how you don't see on this picture that it is actually quite large!
Last session's subject was 'Old Watches' because they are beautiful and all have a meaningful visual story to tell about time gone by and history and adventures, innocent and heavy. Everyone liked it, so this is a long blogpost, especially because there were also a lot of other projects!
Monica has started hers and only needs to add the gold. The leather band and background are already there and great looking.
Barbara from my LA group participated and created this amazing Cartier. Well done on the numbers and hands!!
Lovely Michele is back in Bretagne, but still works with us, and created this absolutely magnifique tissot watch! Love how detailed and refined it is. Super!
Here is a painting with a story -by Jutta- it is SO well executed and very much surrealistic, have a closer look! A melancholic self portrait that symbolically shows how fast time goes by...
In Norway there's a lot of watercolouring going on too! Here's 'Five to Five' by Celina. Watch with cool wristbands and lovely shine on the glass.

In the meantime a lot of other creative things happened! I suddenly realize why I missed that so in the past couple of months, also the pride in what is created. We had two young guests, Sarah and Louise, who started with the spheres-exercise to get 'into it"
This is the page with marbles that Sarah created - it is very well done, those spheres look so real and sunny
And here is Louise's composition. Her marbles 'pop' off the paper!
Anna Karin brought her runner-up music-inspired watercolour. The colours as well as the power of this painting are stunning
And Liz, who won the lottery with another musical painting (the piper) hadn't finished this one at the time - but did now. What a beauty!
Louise and Sarah also both have a guinea pig, of which they both created a portrait. This is Louise's and below the one Sarah painted. You can see by the delicate way they are painted that they love and understand them. Both girls definitely have a talent! And they perfectly blended in in the Aquarellista group!...
Here's Lemmie the lama! Painted by Celina. Being a lama conaisseur I can tell you that is has the exact funny and silly expression the true lama has!
Hékène started her creative week with Pim's class on composition, which left her so inspired that she used the knowledge on this breathtaking perspective. Fantastic!!
Cathie's pods, now finished. One word: awesome. OK and three exclamation marks. !!!
Note that, like it is described in the Hangar Watercolour book, she started with a base background colour (turquoise) then after it dried she added a darker colour and then salt, and the salt shows the base colour turquoise. For an extra deep effect!!

On Thursday Sue started an in-depth research for 'a bridge over a pond' and as youu will see it was very worthwhile! From work one it is great to look at! She started with a white bridge, then a black one, and then used masking fluid for even stronger contrasting colours and of course white. All of the 3 versions (3 and 4 are the same, with and after masking) are absolutely gorgeous! Which one would you choose? I found it very difficult but in the end it is probably the last one...
Judith continues her search for the ultimate move in watercolours. With a wet brush on a dry pape, she lets herself be inspired by the shadows of the moving leaves and then see where it ends. 3 of the most interesting ones here - with either a wonderful light, a gripping negative space and great colours...
