Weekly Aquarellista Challenge 7: Paint your Porsche

Michele gets extra praise for a fabulous Porsche, with a fun pattern of Spring Flowers. She and I have both done this exercise and we agree that it is so good for your brain 😊

Yeah well, Porsche was not a really big success. Kudos to Michele for creating such a beautiful one! And all the others luckily had a lot of ideas, which is exactly the point, I always have a subject - but it is not mandatory, it is meant for if you do not really have an idea what to do!

So, what happened in the mean time!!! A lot of music for starters... The great news is also that several aquarellistas who no longer live in France sent in their paintings and we have new enthusiasts from other classes as well...

Sue painted her version of the song by Don McLean, about Vincent van Gogh, 'Starry Night'

Marie-Jo also worked on her music theme and came up with this painting that I think is brilliant and subtle and very much in her style.

Cathie created this musical painting. It has so many layers! Guitar, sunset, reflection, trees, lace - absolutely beautiful. And deep.

Do you remember Michele F, who from time to time brought her o so talented daughter along? Well Violet read or heard from our music challenge and sent in this clever painting of an old gramophone... So good to hear from you Violet! And well done...

Vanessa created this fresh and light musical fairytale, with a beautiful open window that lets the air in and the music out, taken further by the birds...

And how about Bibbi! For those who remember how she worked when she was still a regular in our group: she hasn't changed her style, only improved. I recommend you enlarge the picture by clicking, to appreciate all the details,it is so exciting and in the back there's a whole other world happening...

Sandra sent in two magnificent views - immediately recognizable as hers!

Yasmine from the Life drawing group painted her view in Magagnosc in watercolours. Well done, I see a lot of potential and hope she'll join us when we are allowed to get together again.

Sue painted starry night, but also this a-ma-zing tulip! It has yellow crayon on it too which makes it so velvety. I absoutely adore it

Ina, also from the life drawing group, works hard at home (creatively speaking) and painted/drew this Young King of the jungle, in watercolour pencils.

Celina painted birds in her colourful and determied way - and experimented with splashes of paint! It is funny to see how well it works to give a painting freedom and 'looseness'
