Brenda"s natural tunnel is a beautiful road, with towering trees which form a visual tunnel toward a stately house,
The subject of the last Aquarellista session was 'Natural Tunnels' and without exception all were eager to work on this We had pictures to base ourselves on, but all artists created their own versions. They are presented below, I hope that they look ok, my laptop screen shows way too much contrast and I haven't found a way to repair it. A new laptop probably 😃...
And a similar subject but very different execution by Glen! So much light - and fantastic shadows
The green tunnel of leaves was painted by Monica, It has such a very mysterious light
Jutta almost finished another type of natural tunnel, a rock tunnel, with a view on a bright sunny outside...
Hélène started with an interesting tunnel formed by trees. She is doing magic with the dark and light paints
Yet anther, different and simply stunning version, painted on Thursday by Sonya. The orange/red tone is a floor of autumn leaves, that she will create using salt! Can't wait to see it.
Randi took a different take with a dark wall (it will become sensational when darker!) and the tunnel formed by the open windows. Interesting - and looking great
And from Bretagne, our Michele worked with the same inspiration as Brenda and created magic too - how great is it to see how different it is...
Celina's natural tunnel (painted in Norway) is formed by wisteria. It is so light and airy, and -as usual with Celina's work- original and colourful
In the meantime...
The fantastic lighthouse Jutta finished this week
Lighthouses are a subject that Liz really likes (she has panted, exhibited and sold several) and here is the latest one, very well painted, with very cool use of warm or cold colours and white
Cathie continued with her worn blue trainers. They have so much story, wonderful.
Sandra painted autumn leaves which became beautifully shaped, colourful flowers, in an interesting composition
And Judith, she experimented further. Here is a new stage, where shape and form seems to get a bit more important, with the use of colour as a constant
