Spoons in watercolours

Michèle was the first to send in her spoons - they are a-ma-zing, jump of the paper, so much depth! Well done!

Last week's challenge was simple and straightforward: Spoons. With their reflection, their symmetry and their highlights. The watercolours that were created on the theme are very different in every respect, but all super, in their own right.

The 'symmetry' of spoons was not Celina's piece of cake, so she took the enameled spoons that the sculpture group once created in Christie's class as inspiration and came up with this lovely and colourful composition! I love it, so original!

Stage 1; Spoons – and forks and other utensils.
Great stuff by Sandra, ‘stretching the brief’ a little bit.

Stage 2, with a blue background added

And the finished version, with lots of sprayed water...

The stylized rendition of 4 spoons by Judith. Quite spectacular if you ask me, with especially the  central one, which has a strong highlight and a very interesting reflection!

A classy silver spoon on a beautiful, openwork lace tablecloth. A heirloom by the look of it.
Love the shadows, love the idea also! Watercolour by Brenda

Last but by no means least, this amazing, fantastic and atmospheric set of spoons by Anna Karin.
I am impressed!

In the meantime...

Ingrid, from the LA group did not only paint a wonderful watercolour - with her favourite colours and then flowery doodles that are clearly based on the colours. She also painted this beautiful and very wintery Tuscany landscape...
