Christmas cards in Watercolours I

Last session and next session our Aquarellista group spends creating original Christmas cards. Some will even be printed. We worked with so much pleasure on the first series! Here they are, in random order:

Anne painted this hilarious chicken with antlers and a happy-go-lucky Christmas tree.

Thecla Painted two stylized trees, both very good ideas actually and I love the warm background.

More trees, by Anna: a classic one and a patterned one, built out of more trees. Very original - and the orange 'odd one out' makes it extra special

A patterned tree with heart and ribbons Laura, as well as a WIP - with very cute puppies

Corinne
had great fun with the potato-red-nosed-reindeer, het serious tree will be adorned with gold silver and glitter next week, and her holly tree is totally smashing!

A full collection by Glen, she did even more and will make several loved ones happy with her hand-painted cards!

Not visible on the photos here; but Glenda used glitter paint on the hat of the snowman and on the Xmas bauble. Normally I am not a fan, but in this time of the year, yeah baby bring it on!

This is a 'before' and 'after' painting, Sue used masking tape so that the balls stayed perfectly white and neutral while she could freely loose-paint on the background! That worked perfectly as you can see

Barbara's are painted with the wishes written on them in gold and glitter and both tree and snowman are so wonderful! What an original bunch!

Sonya continued with and finished  her lantern. If you write 'merry Chrismas' under it with a golden pen it is a great Xmas card. Yet it wasn't created for that. What a wonderful painting.

And here's a wonderful WIP by Sandra. It is a lotus plant, seen from the bottom in the water. So interesting, poetic and exciting! To be continued

The cutest little guys!  In pastel, but hey, created during our session, and by one of our best portrait-aquarellistas, Judith, so it deserves a place in the line up!
