More Wet-in-wet and Birch Trees in Watercolours...

In our latest session the theme was 'thousand and one night' but we were with a small group and every one felt more like painting either wet-in-wet or birch trees πŸ˜€, so that's what we did:

Charlie had missed the wet-in-wet experiments entirely, being in the UK - but she took her chance and look at the result!!! Large size by the way.  It is so mysterious and poetic, Well done!

Anna Karin dis one 'on the side', which took her a coupe of seconds. We estimate 5
πŸ˜ƒ

Anne created a very different Wet painting, lightly inspired by a Chaillou, but mostly her own idea - and to me it looks like Antibes in the storm (the sea is still warm - what a great colour)

And how about Ingrid's version of the famous Chaillou landscape. It is wild and windy, with a lot of wet-in-wet effect, combined with daring and moose brush strokes! We should have filmed it, it looks like a lot of fun while it was created...

Roxane used the pallette of one of her vases to paint this abstract wet-in-wet landscape. There is definitely light on the horizon and it tells a story. Awesome.

Ah! And while we were very much NOT painting veiled women, our correspondent in St Didier wasn't aware of that and painted this magically beautiful modern Sheherazade! I bet after seeing this, that some of you will want to do that next week πŸ˜€

Martine started a birch tree painting and ended up doing 'an Anna Karin' in the sense that she chose to create different backgrounds between the trunks. For the rest it is still a Martine, wait until she finishes the delicate little leaves and the typical stripes...

Roxane continued this large size Birch tree painting, it is almost done, just a coupe of tweaks. Very good already by the way!

Roxane's fantastic vases dried up slightly lighter and  just to show how much extra depth you can achieve, with a nice border, we put them in mounts. It worked!
