Dragons in Watercolours

Last session we painted dragons together, to celebrate 2024, the Year of the Wood Dragon. It starts on February 10th and ends on January 28th, 2025. People born in Dragon years usually possess natural courage, tenacity and intelligence, often displaying enthusiasm and confidence.

In Chinese culture, the Dragon symbolizes power, nobility, honour, luck, and success. Consequently, 2024 is forecasted to bring about opportunities, changes, and challenges. If you're seeking a shift in your current lives, this year might offer a favourable chance. Enough reason to paint a couple of these dudes, and it was great fun!

Charlie's breathtaking dragon - and it is not even finished!

Another awesome and completely different Work In Progress - by Anna Karin

And how about this fantastic dragon that is looking at it's own foot... Love it!! painted by Gail

The poster for the next Dragon Movie - even better in real life, Corinne painted this.

WIP by Erica who learns 'on the job' and learns fast and well! Amazing... To be finished.

Free and crazy Manga style dragon by Martine, chosen by Cloé (our 6 year old visitor) as the best of the day
😍

Fabulous and impressive red dragon by Anne. With tiny brush (look at its face!)

Chloé (6) tuvo tiempo para 2 dragones: ambos son preciosos, es difícil elegir, pero quizás prefiera el azul.

Laura painted a happy dragon that you'd like to have as a pet (except the flames of course) and continued and finished her Asian girl. Well done!!

Glenda is in portrait-mood and mode, and she gave the Marylin-Mural a try. She did a wonderful job, all out of hand, yet the disadvantage of a mural is the perspective and that's why she is going to give it a new try next time with a normal photo as example

Thecla was very much impressed with last Wednesday's fantastic, red sunrise and gave it a first try. Although it is alreadyamazing for you and me, Thecla felt she hadn't done it justice and may do one or two other versions... Watch this space!!

Sue finished her birch trees or better, her bright sunlight in the forest. Stunning painting!!

The next stage of Sandra's Kurt Cobain painting. Not finished but so fantastic! That left eye..And so much sadness. Last blog I separated poppies and portrait but they belong together I now learned.  Very symbolic.
